Summer byrek with kungull (zuchini)

This is what it looks like before I put it in the oven (or tried to at least).
3 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp salt in a bowl.
5-6 peeled and grated and drained summer zuchini with a couple tablespoons flour sprinkled on top.
Mix the zuchini with the egg mixture and spread into a oiled pan with two layers of dry peta (philo dough) in it. Add two more layers of dried peta and pour another cup of milk and splash of olive oil on the top and bake.
Note, I just bought this pan and it doesn't fit in my oven. I managed to shut the oven door by propping it up in the back of the oven a bit. Not a photo finish to this wonderful byrek.
The package of dried peta that I use. It costs 100 lek for 8 pieces - enough to make two byreks.

My favorite summer drink

Boil up some nice sour plums - 40 lek a kilo.

Strain out the seeds and peels.

Add sugar and water if you want, bottle it up and enjoy! (as you can see I've been recycling my used bottles)

Sleepy head

I feel so blessed to have a baby who loves to sleep. Abigail's favorite places are on someone's chest, or in the mei tai.
